Stephen Eisele is an aerospace executive with over 19 years of experience, working primarily as a business and strategy leader with aerospace start-ups. He currently serves on the Board of SatRev, a Polish small satellite manufacturer, and is acting President and CRO of Lonestar, a data services company, developing data storage and security solutions in lunar orbits. Most recently, Eisele served as Vice President for Business at Virgin Orbit LLC since Virgin Orbit’s founding in 2017. While there, Eisele was responsible for leading all sales and strategies around commercial and international business efforts, and engaging with the civil, commercial and “New Space” small satellite community. He developed a launch manifest pipeline valued at over $2.1Billion and was responsible for developing new revenue streams including spaceport networks, deep space missions, data solutions, and expanding international growth sectors.


Prior to joining Virgin Orbit, Eisele served as a Senior Business Development executive for Surrey Satellite Technology US and UK (SSTL), a leading small satellite manufacturer, where he helped lead SSTL’s business growth opportunities through strategic partnerships, including their NASA Missions. Eisele also served as Vice President of Space Services Inc, a commercial space holdings and investment company, where he managed multi-million dollar companies and start-ups, and oversaw 14 suborbital launches from Spaceport America in New Mexico. In addition, Eisele was Head of Sales and Marketing for Excalibur Almaz (EA), an international space tourism and exploration company and Marketing Director for the X PRIZE Foundation’s Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge and also the Google Lunar X PRIZE. He has also supported numerous start-ups in the film and fashion industries.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Arts in international economics and strategic studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) He also holds a master's certificate from the International Space University in space business. He is a frequent guest lecturer at space conferences around the world and universities.
