Two-time Olympian, Olympic finalist, and three-time medalist at the European Championships in athletics sprint running.Chef de Mission for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. Graduate of the University of Physical Education in Krakow with a PhD in physical culture and sport. He also graduated from Apsley Business School in London with an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
He has over 15 years of experience in management and working in associations and public and governmental institutions. He has initiated, co-organised, and organised international sporting events. For two terms of office, he sat on the board of Academic Sports Club AZS AWF Krakow. In the same period, he created and coordinated the ‘Athletics for Everyone’ sports promotion programme in Małopolska Region. For over three years, he headed the Elite Sports Department at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. His responsibilities included the supervision of the Polish Sports Associations, the control of rationality and reliability in the disposal of public funds, and the building of the Polish Sports Strategy for the following years. Since 2020, he has been the director of the International Cooperation and Sports Projects Department at the Polish Olympic Committee.
