Malgorzata (Margaret) Chalupowski, an MD with a PhD from the JagiellonianUniversity School of Medicine in Krakow, Poland, also holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Massachusetts School of Law.

She is an alumna ofthe Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she studied quality management and global health. A recipient of the Prince of Wales Medical Scholarship, with credentials from the University of Cambridge, the University of Sheffield, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and University of Liverpool. While still a medical student, Dr. Chalupowski worked as an investigative reporter and interviewed Nobel Prize laureates, such as Andrew V. Schally, Sir John Vane, and Paul Lauterbur.

An experienced clinician (obstetrician/gynecologist), educator, researcher, legal and science writer, avid advocate for human and civil rights.Since 2014, she has been serving as an Academic Advisor to selected Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Takemi Fellows pursuing research in quality management and women’s health. She is active in several organizations including: American Association of University Women; Harvard Women in Defense, Diplomacy and Development; Harvard Women’s Global Health Network; United Nations Association of Greater Boston. Since 2017, Dr. Chalupowski is the Lead Organizer of the Conference on Quality in Medicine, Global Health and Law held annually at the Polish Academy of Sciences Center in Paris, France. From 2020 to 2022, she served as a Public Health Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Quarantine Station at Boston Logan Airport. Dr. Chalupowski and her husband Chester Chalupowski, an insurance and real-estate professional, musician and documentarian, live in Beverly, Massachusetts, and have extensive international experience gained while working together overseas on global health projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia sponsored by the WHO, UNICEF, USAID, and DFID. They are co-founders of the Copernicus Institute for the Arts, Sciences and Law of New England, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on promotion of Polish science, culture, history and heritage through facilitating collaboration between academic, governmental and corporate entities in Poland, the United States and other countries.     ​​​​​​​
