
Bozena Gasior is an author, educator, and advocate for individuals with disabilities. Her book, I Heard the Light: A Mother’s Story of Her Son’s Journey Through Autism to Self-Expression (Przez labirynt autyzmu: droga matki i dziecka ku samowyrażeniu in Polish), shares the remarkable story of her son, Milosz, a pianist with autism, who found his voice through music. Bozena has presented at numerous conferences and events, including TEDx, where she spoke about the power of inclusion and self-expression through the arts.
As an adjunct professor and director of the American Institute of Polish Culture Tampa Bay, Bozena actively promotes cultural and educational initiatives. Her advocacy goes beyond storytelling—she is dedicated to creating opportunities for neurodiverse individuals to fully participate in society. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the Polish & Slavic Club at the University of Tampa and is a board member of The Polish American Engineers Association of Florida, Inc.
