The thirteenth edition of the 60 Million Congress took place in Miami from February 9th to 11th, 2023 and this is the fifth time the congress has been held in Florida. Also known as the Global Polonia Summit, and it brought together over 250 participants from various parts of the world who united to discuss important topics concerning Poland and the Polish diaspora.

The name of the Congress refers to the estimated total number of Poles and people of Polish descent worldwide. It is estimated that around 40 million Poles live in the country, while the remaining 20 million are scattered across all continents. The Polish diaspora represents a significant potential, which is why it is crucial for Poland to maintain strong ties with it.

The 60 Million Congress is one of the most important events for the Polish diaspora, focusing on promoting Poland and the Polish diaspora. This year's edition was also focused on the war in Ukraine and investments in various industries such as real estate, medicine, and cryptocurrencies. From its inception, the congress aimed to discuss current Polish topics in a global context, rather than just a local one. Creating networking opportunities was also an important aspect of the event.

The event serves as an important forum for discussing relevant issues concerning the Polish diaspora and Poland. Participants had the opportunity to meet prominent Polish leaders, business representatives, politicians, and cultural figures who shared their knowledge and perspectives. Thematic panels covered topics related to politics, economy, culture, innovation, investments, and many other areas.

The congress commenced on the evening of February 9th with an inaugural reception at the Revive Clinic.

The following day, participants had the opportunity to take part in the "60 Million Golf Cup" tournament, which has become an integral part of the Congress in Miami, as well as an attractive cruise in Biscayne Bay.

On February 11th, the Congress portion took place at the Eden Roc Hotel. During the official opening of the 13th edition of the Congress, a letter from Kamil Bortniczuk, the Minister of Sport and Tourism in Poland, was read, emphasizing the important role played by Poles living abroad. He also invited everyone to participate in the largest sports event in Europe, the 3rd European Games Krakow-Malopolska 2023, to be held in Poland.

The Congress in Miami was divided into several interesting thematic panels, which attracted diverse interest from the participants. Among the panels were topics such as "60 Million for Ukraine," "Leadership in the Changing Realities of the Global Economy and Politics," "Destination - Malopolska," "Ambassadors of Poland" - a panel dedicated to promoting the Polish brand worldwide, "European Games in Krakow," and "Telemedicine - a New Opportunity for the Polonia" and many others. The conference concluded with a panel focused on trade and business cooperation, led by representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and the Polish Association in Puerto Rico.

The event was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Development and Technology. Among the delegation was Deputy Minister of Development and Technology, Grzegorz Piechowiak, who emphasized the interest in furthering economic cooperation and development with Florida in his statement.

On Saturday, following the Congress proceedings, the 50th anniversary "Polonaise Ball" was held at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach, organized by the American Institute of Polish Culture in Miami. It is worth noting that, for the first time in the history of the 60 Million Congress, it was accompanied by a foreign economic mission. Approximately 30 Congress participants visited Puerto Rico, where they took part in numerous presentations regarding business opportunities offered by the island and had the opportunity to establish contacts with potential business partners. The Polish Association in Puerto Rico, led by its president Łukasz Macniak and vice president Oskar Kowalski, played a key role in organizing the mission.
