Urszula Gawrysiak is a graduate of the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Ceramics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and Łazarski University in Warsaw, where she earned her Master of Law degree. She also completed postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety at the Central Institute for Labour Protection in Warsaw and postgraduate pedagogical studies at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.

She started her work in the field of occupational safety at the State Labour Inspectorate, as an inspector specialising in the supervision of health services. In 2004 she started working for UPS Poland as a Health and Safety Manager. From 2008, she dedicated herself to building a safety culture in the construction industry, first as Health and Safety Manager at Warbud S.A., and from 2012 at Budimex, where she served as Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Office. There, she had the opportunity to participate in the creation and development of one of the largest safety improvement initiatives in the construction industry, the Agreement for Safety in Construction. As of 2019, she has taken up the position of Director of the Office of Occupational Health, Safety, Health & Safety. and Environmental Protection at PKP Energetyka S.A. CG.
