A graduate of the University of Gdansk, Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen, Université catholique de Louvain and Leiden University, he holds a doctorate from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Lazarski University, where he currently serves as Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation. Legal counsel, expert in law, finance and international transactions, restructuring, process improvement and new product launches, as well as capital markets, M&A transactions. He specialises in large business strategic projects and in advising on corporate law, supervisory regulation and finance. He is an academic lecturer and author and co-author of numerous publications and speeches at scientific conferences in the fields of law, management, sustainable development, ethics, and new technologies.


Tomasz Braun previously worked as a Member of the Management Board of energy companies in Poland, partner in the banking and finance practice at Dentons. He worked for many years at HSBC in London, where, in the position of Associate General Counsel, he co-developed the global legal risk management system, leading an international team responsible for managing the global legal affairs of the HSBC group worldwide and coordinating the implementation of compliance programmes in multiple jurisdictions. Prior to his work at HSBC Holdings in London, Dr Tomasz Braun served as General Counsel and member of the Management Board at Polish HSBC, as well as holding positions at GE Capital group companies, including GE Money Bank as Head of Legal Department and Vice President. He has also worked on projects to support projects funded by European Union programmes.
