Slawek Kierner is an accomplished Chief Data and Analytics Officer, lecturer, advisor, investor, and board member. His experience spans applied artificial intelligence, scaling data platforms and digital products, and leading large global technology organizations.

​ At Intuitive, the maker of the Da Vinci robotic platforms, Slawek has served as Senior Vice President, Data and Machine Learning Platforms since 2021 and as an advisor since 2024. He was responsible for the digital products, data, and AI strategy. He launched the AI Suite of products alongside the newest robotic platforms, leading to a $15 billion increase in the company’s target value. He also operationally led the global Internet of Medical Things (IOMT) infrastructure connecting almost 10,000 surgical robots, surgical simulation products, and numerous internal AI use cases, which enhanced surgeon education and patient outcomes for this $200Bn+ worth robotic surgery leader.

​ Before Intuitive, Slawek was Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Humana, where he transitioned the company to use cloud computing, and successfully built a data and AI platform leading to 100s of ML/AI use cases with more than $1bn NPV. Prior to that, he led global data analytics, applied machine learning, insights, and visualization for Microsoft’s Business Applications unit – including serving as a founding team member of Power BI. Prior to Microsoft Slawek spent 11 years leading supply chain development, digital marketing operations, and information systems as CIO for Procter & Gamble’s European, Middle Eastern, and African business.

​ In recent years, Slawek has been an active angel investor, board member, and advisor to analytics and health-tech startups. He has facilitated corporate venture investments, influencing over $100M in health-tech funding rounds, including companies like Solvemed AI, Spectrum AI, Cohere Health, Cleo/Oath Surgical, Kela Health, Buoy Health, CGMMe, Empo Health, and CloudsOnMars. He has also played a key role in business development and the integration of acquired companies, managing data integration for deals worth over $5 billion, such as Orpheus, Kindred at Home, DeepMind, and Nokia.

​ Slawek holds a PhD in Clinical AI Architectures, two MSc degrees in Mechatronics and Management from Lodz University of Technology and has attended executive education programs at Harvard Business School. He has been sought for guest lecturer, panel participant and podcast guest on the topics of AI and its applications in large organizations.
