Michal Majerczak is a Polish-American Entrepreneur, who moved to United States in 2002. In 2006, after graduating UC Berkeley in Operations Research and Management Science, Michal started career as fixed income analyst at Morgan Stanley. After spin-off of MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International – world leader in indexing, ESG data, and investment analytics tools) Michal has contributed to MSCI growth from 300 to 5,500 employees reaching market capitalization of $53B from $1.5B, while working on: establishing and managing global technology and data science teams, firm’s major acquisitions, and developing new business lines. As an ex-pat, Michal lived and built teams across Monterrey-Mexico, Budapest-Hungary, Manilla-Philippines, and Mumbai-India. Michal worked, with the worlds’ largest Asset Management companies providing investment analytics, ESG data, and building their investment analytics infrastructure.

 

In 2021, together with his cofounders from US and Poland, Michal has founded Actaware – AI driven information platform, supporting value based investing and conscious consumerism.

Michal is a Highlander from Szczawnica in Polish mountains. He had been Polish national whitewater kayaking champion multiple times and had been paddling for Polish national team from 1995 to 2001.
